"Ek Paudha, Aapke Naam" program organized by the Pahal organization in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Continuing an annual tradition, a tree plantation drive was organized today under the aegis of the Pahal Welfare Foundation with a target of planting 5,100 saplings. Events were held at various locations across Gautam Buddha Nagar, including near Paramount Golf Forest Society, in front of Eros Sampoornam Society, and near Gaur Saundaryam Society. D.K. Singh, the organization's President, cited a well-known saying: "Imagine if trees emitted Wi-Fi signals; we would plant so many of them that we might even save the planet. It is truly unfortunate that they only produce oxygen." It is saddening that we have become so addicted to technology that we overlook its harmful impact on the environment. Technology is not only destroying nature but also alienating us from it. If we truly wish to survive and lead a healthy life breathing clean air, we must plant as many trees as possible. Beyond producing oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide, trees also absorb other harmful gases from the atmosphere, thereby purifying and freshening the air. The more trees there are, the greater the oxygen production and the higher the absorption of toxic gases. Atendra Chauhan, the organization's General Secretary, noted that pollution levels in the Gautam Buddha Nagar area are currently rising sharply. The only way to combat this is to plant more trees. For instance, areas, villages, and forests rich in tree cover foster a clean environment, as they are less affected by pollution. In contrast, urban residential and industrial zones suffer from poor air quality due to high pollution levels and a scarcity of trees. On this occasion, the organization's President, D.K. Singh, the organization's General Secretary Atendra Chauhan, Vice President Anil Pratap Singh, Thakur Kiranpal Singh, Kishore Chaturvedi, Balbir Singh Chauhan, Bipin Chauhan, Anju Raghav, Sagar Linga, Anand Singh, Manoj Rajput 'Mona', Sushil Kumar Singh, Aniruddh Chauhan, Vani Chauhan, Satyaprakash, Momraj, Ashutosh Srivastava, Advocate Ashwani Pani, Shailesh Mishra, Rakesh, Shailendra, Ashok Yadav, Vipul, Lalit Narayan, Ram Singh, Bhim Yadav, Harendra, Rajiv Kapoor, Vivek, Abhishek, Mudit, and others were present.
