On Saturday, May 20, the team from the Pahal Welfare Foundation distributed study materials, biscuits, juice, and other items to hundreds of students at a school for the underprivileged near Gaur Chowk, Greater Noida West. Additionally, the team expressed their gratitude to the teachers who consistently contribute to shaping the futures of these underprivileged children.
Speaking on the occasion, D.K. Singh, President of the Pahal Welfare Foundation, stated that education is a powerful tool; if provided to children at the right time, it enables them to lead the country and society toward development and breathe new life into a bleak social landscape. Children can brighten their own futures and that of the nation, and learn to distinguish between right and wrong.
Singh noted that the organization is working to bring children living in poverty—including those living on the streets—out of the darkness and into the light of education. Recognizing that children from poor families often miss out on proper schooling due to a lack of basic amenities, the foundation strives to ensure that no child is deprived of education for this reason. Through the Pahal Welfare Foundation, study materials and basic amenities have been consistently provided to underprivileged children across various locations in India over the past few years.
Anil Pratap Singh, the organization's Vice President, remarked that providing education to underprivileged children is a noble deed. He emphasized that only educated children can eventually prove to be valuable assets to their families and society.
Rajiv Chatterjee, the organization's Secretary, stated that life is incomplete without education, describing it as the means that makes a person both successful and great.
