Continuing its annual tradition, the organization distributed hundreds of blankets in Greater Noida to help needy families protect themselves against the biting cold. The drive began on the first day of January, with blankets distributed at various locations—including slums, temples (to priests), roadside laborers, and families of street vendors—while the 'Pahal' team assured them of all possible support. On this occasion, people were sensitized about staying safe during the cold weather, and blankets were distributed to the poor, the helpless, the destitute, and other needy individuals to help them shield themselves from the chill.
D.K. Singh, President of Pahal Welfare Foundation, stated that the organization is a registered non-profit, non-political, and charitable entity serving as a resource for needy individuals, organizations, and institutions. The organization consistently conducts various free programs for the needy throughout the year. Given the severe cold gripping North India during the first week of January, Pahal is making every possible effort daily to protect impoverished families from the freezing temperatures. The blanket distribution campaign will continue until Makar Sankranti, and an appeal has been made to other financially well-off individuals to come forward and provide similar assistance.
