Continuing its annual tradition, the Pahal Welfare Foundation organized a blanket distribution drive on the last day of the year—Sunday, December 31st—to protect needy individuals living in slums and those relying on street vending for their livelihood. The team distributed hundreds of blankets across the Gaur City (Greater Noida West) and Paramount Golf Forest (Greater Noida) areas.
The blanket distribution program at Paramount Golf Forest, Greater Noida, was inaugurated by Mr. N.P. Singh, President of DDRWA, who also extended advance New Year greetings to all those present. Meanwhile, the program at Gaur City, Greater Noida West, was inaugurated by Mr. Pramod Kumar, the Police Outpost In-charge.
D.K. Singh, President of the Pahal Welfare Foundation, stated that the organization is a registered non-profit, non-political, and charitable entity that serves as a resource for needy individuals, organizations, and institutions. The foundation regularly organizes various free programs for the underprivileged. With the severe cold wave continuing across North India, the foundation is actively working to fulfill its commitment by making daily efforts to protect the poor from the biting cold.
Atendra Chauhan, General Secretary of the Pahal Welfare Foundation, noted that the cold this December has been unexpectedly severe, leaving the poor living in slum settlements in a dire state. Recognizing that blankets offer the best relief from the cold for the needy, the foundation decided to launch this distribution drive. For the past few years, the organization has consistently distributed blankets to poor families and the needy to provide relief from the harsh winter; continuing this tradition, the foundation launched its blanket distribution campaign starting December 31st this year. ...so that no poor family falls victim to the cold wave.
Hundreds of members were present at today's event, including Pahal Welfare Foundation President D.K. Singh, Atendra Chauhan, Thakur K.P. Singh, A.P. Sisodia, Ashok Rana, Ramnarayan Tripathi, Pankaj Sisodia, Krishnakant Singh, Sameer Khosa, Umesh Vishwakarma, Pankaj Singh, and Ashish Srivastava.
