On Makar Sankranti our teams went out with blankets and hot khichdi for people living on the roadsides and labour chowks of Greater Noida.
The festival marks the turn of winter, but mid-January is the coldest stretch of the year for anyone sleeping outdoors. Volunteers served khichdi through the day and distributed blankets to families, rickshaw pullers and daily-wage workers.
