Close to 1,000 saplings planted across twelve locations in a single coordinated drive, with school children as the keepers of most of them.
Neem, peepal, mango, jamun, bargad and arjun went into the ground — species chosen to survive and to shade. Each sapling was handed to a named keeper who agreed to protect it.
