Office-bearers of Pahal Welfare Foundation met DCP Traffic Ganesh Prasad Sah at the DCP Traffic office in Sector 14A, Noida.
During the meeting the foundation placed a proposal before the DCP: to take part jointly with the Noida traffic police in traffic-volunteer programmes and make people aware of traffic rules. The DCP Traffic immediately gave his assent to the proposal.
Foundation president D.K. Singh explained that Pahal Welfare Foundation is a registered non-profit social organisation, and that its members had earlier worked alongside the traffic police during road-safety programmes to make people aware. With daily traffic trouble in Noida and Noida Extension, the foundation would now assist the Noida traffic police in relieving it.
Traffic Inspector Chandraprakash Mishra appealed to all social organisations, RWAs and residents of Gautam Buddha Nagar to become traffic volunteers with the Noida traffic police and take part in awareness campaigns across the district — through traffic volunteers, he said, many more people can be reached.
Around 1,000 saplings were planted at 12 locations across the district, part of a drive spanning Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar — with school children planting alongside our volunteers.
From 20 to 23 July 2025 at Salempur on the national highway in Bulandshahr, thousands of devotees were hosted with rest, food and a doctors' team through the Sawan kavad yatra.
As every year, the foundation distributed blankets across Greater Noida from the first day of January — in jhuggi settlements, to temple priests, roadside labourers and vendors.
