150 people vaccinated free at 11th Avenue

A free vaccination camp was organised on Sunday 1 May at 11th Avenue in Gaur City under the aegis of Pahal Welfare Foundation, with the cooperation of Kailash Hospital and Dr Mahesh Sharma.

More than 150 people living in the society were given the free covid vaccine at the camp. Under the vaccination drive, booster doses were given to those above 18 years, and first and second doses of Covaxin and Covishield were administered to children and adults as required.

Foundation president D.K. Singh said covid cases had begun rising again, which is why the camp was set up in the 11th Avenue society of Gaur City — so that residents, and the domestic helpers and cleaning staff who work in the homes there, could be protected from the fourth wave of the pandemic.

D.K. Singh said the foundation had run vaccination drives several times through free camps for residents of different societies in Greater Noida West, and that the campaign would continue.

Present at the camp were D.K. Singh, Deepak Chauhan, Monika Gupta, Ravindra Kumar, Himanshu Singh, Prashant Awasthi, R.N. Tripathi, Lalit Gupta and — from 11th Avenue society — Anshul Kulshreshtha, Ashish Kumar, Nana ji Barou, Satish Gupta, Rakesh Saxena, Vinay Yadav, Asha Satyanarayan and Anjani Tandon, along with Gaurav Mishra, a senior doctor and a nurse from Kailash Hospital.
